Job Description
Constellation Search Group is seeking a Functional Business Analyst with experience in SAP – FICO for a full-time direct hire position. The Functional Business Analyst will aid in achieving key business objectives through effective requirement gathering and application of technology solutions. This role involves analysis, design, configuration, testing, training, documentation, deployment, and maintenance of IT capabilities within the areas of expertise. The Analyst will primarily work within SAP FICO, focusing on financial and compliance aspects of commercial processes, and will provide support and mentorship for existing IT capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and configure SAP to improve functionalities, support users across company sites, and enhance, standardize, and automate business processes using SAP and its bolt-ons.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of processes and systems in the area of expertise.
- Perform root cause analysis and participate in designing solutions and documentation to address business challenges and improve functionality and process efficiency.
- Configure SAP and its bolt-ons in Finance and Controlling.
- Collaborate with corporate IT and business teams to analyze, document requirements, and provide project sizing for new demands.
- Manage sub-projects in the FICO area, ensuring timely delivery for each project phase.
- Generate and execute test plans to ensure work quality and understand platform and regional impacts.
- Collaborate with integration teams on data integration designs between product tools and systems, performing testing and impact assessments.
- Act as vendor liaison with third parties for development and integration needs.
- Coordinate and communicate system changes and enhancements.
- Document all enhancements, implementations, and interfaces; address documentation gaps.
- Provide necessary training, coach peers, and cultivate a self-help environment with super users, end users, and business managers.
- Deliver efficient 2nd tier support and keep abreast of technology evolution to identify useful solutions or applications.
Qualifications: - 6 years of related experience as a SAP IT Business Analyst in Finance and Controlling (FICO).
- Broad functional SAP knowledge in Finance and Controlling, with in-depth knowledge of FICO and SD/MM integration, including configuration.
- Proactive in business/IT risk identification, mitigation, and continuous improvement.
- Strong functional business knowledge and awareness of current and future strategies, trends, and technology.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with business and technical audiences.
- Excellent listening skills to thoroughly understand business needs.
