Job Description
Constellation Search Group is seeking a Financial Consultant for a full-time direct hire position. The Financial Consultant will be responsible for setting financial objectives and planning business development strategies for clients, working closely with team members to ensure accountability and execution of these plans. They will handle financial reporting, monitor accounts, and prepare activity reports and financial forecasts, while exploring opportunities to enhance profitability, including market analysis for expansion, mergers, or acquisitions. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, leveraging their deep understanding of the finance industry.
Responsibilities:
- Drive major financial strategies and implement financial processes and controls for clients.
- Optimize and analyze income statements, balance sheets, budgets, forecasts, and charts of accounts.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to assess the effectiveness of financial plans and refine strategies for increased profitability.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reporting packages, activity reports, and forecasts on a monthly basis.
- Manage the budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial review processes quarterly and annually.
- Collaborate with clients on setting both short- and long-term financial goals.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop monthly strategies, quarterly plans, and annual plans for clients.
- Present financial details and summaries to the Leadership Team and clients.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in consulting.
- Strong understanding of client business financials and strategies.
- Ability to analyze revenue streams, gross margins, and profitability by product.
- Knowledgeable in month-end closing cycles and financial model development.
- Proficient in financial analysis and data interpretation.
- Skilled in developing incentive-based metrics and KPIs.
- Understanding of cash to accrual concepts and their impact.
- Intermediate Excel skills for data analysis and efficiency enhancement.
