Sr. Accountant

Job Description

Constellation Search Group is seeking a Sr. Accountant for a full-time direct hire position. The Sr. Accountant will report to the Regional Controller and play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial accounting. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting through monthly and quarterly closes, demonstrating strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
Responsibilities:
     
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and records.
    •  
  • Prepare month-end journal entries.
    •  
  • Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and provide in-depth analysis for assigned accounts.
    •  
  • Manage fixed asset reporting.
    •  
  • Ensure internal controls are adequate and compliant.
    •  
  • Conduct financial and profitability analysis.
    •  
  • Assist with financial audits.
Qualifications:
     
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
    •  
  • 4 or more years of experience as a Sr. Accountant.
    •  
  • Experience with ERP systems; preference for SAP but open to Epicor, Acumatica, Netsuite, etc.
    •  
  • Highly skilled in MS Excel, including pivot tables, Vlookup, and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports.
    •  
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    •  
  • Proactive problem solver with initiative to offer solutions and identify opportunities before being asked.
