Roofing Superintendent

Job Description

Constellation Search Group is seeking a skilled and reliable Roofing Superintendent to join our client's fast-growing roofing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing roofing projects across various job sites throughout the country, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires extensive travel, strong leadership abilities, and in-depth knowledge of roofing systems, construction management, and job site coordination.

Responsibilities:
     
  • Supervise all on-site roofing activities, ensuring compliance with project specs, timelines, and safety protocols.
    •  
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and crews to ensure smooth execution of roofing projects.
    •  
  • Conduct daily job site inspections to monitor progress and quality of workmanship.
    •  
  • Lead safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
    •  
  • Troubleshoot and resolve project issues in real-time to avoid delays and cost overruns.
    •  
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding scheduling, progress, and site needs.
    •  
  • Review and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, timecards, and material logs.
    •  
  • Ensure site cleanliness and proper handling of materials and equipment.
    •  
  • Train and mentor crew members and subcontractors as needed.
Qualifications:
     
  • 5  years of experience in roofing (commercial or residential) in a supervisory or superintendent role.
    •  
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 90% of the time).
    •  
  • Strong knowledge of various roofing systems, including but not limited to TPO, EPDM, metal (standing seam), shingles, and built-up.
    •  
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
    •  
  • Proficient in MS Excel, reading blueprints, technical drawings, and project specs.
    •  
  • Working knowledge of construction management software and mobile tech.
    •  
  • Valid driver's license; ability to pass background check and drug screening.
    •  
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
