Job Description
Constellation Search Group is looking for a Help Desk Technician for a full time direct hire opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for end-users via phone, email, and ticketing systems, delivering prompt and courteous technical support.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to software, hardware, peripherals, and network connectivity in Windows and macOS environments.
- Provide support for commonly used enterprise applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Image, upgrade, and configure desktops and laptops, ensuring systems meet current Windows 11 and macOS standards.
- Maintain endpoint security by ensuring antivirus software and security protocols are consistently up to date.
- Assist with user account administration, including onboarding/offboarding, password resets, and access permissions.
- Deploy, maintain, and support IT hardware such as printers, scanners, monitors, and mobile devices.
- Educate users on basic troubleshooting, IT best practices, and cybersecurity awareness.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior support staff or specialized IT teams as appropriate.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures accurately within the ticketing system.
- Track, manage, and maintain IT asset inventory with detailed records of hardware lifecycle and allocation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.
Experience: - Previous experience in a Help Desk or IT Support role, preferably in a fast-paced or enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting both Windows and macOS platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite, ticketing systems, and remote desktop tools.
- Exposure to basic networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
Qualifications/Skills: - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer service mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift and transport IT equipment (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified, etc.) are a plus.
