Director of Investment Compliance & Risk

Job Description

Constellation Search Group is seeking a Director of Investment Compliance and Risk for a full-time, direct placement position. The Director will be responsible for producing the investment-related portions of risk-based capital (RBC) and monitoring and reporting statutory compliance limits. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders within the investments organization to evaluate the impact on RBC and statutory compliance based on proposed investment structures. The Director will also create pro-forma models to project capital across various scenarios, providing necessary support and analytics for investment feasibility.
Responsibilities:
     
  • Produce the investments-related portion of the company's required capital calculation on a monthly basis and reconcile required capital inputs to accounting records.
    •  
  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of data fields, such as ratings and statutory classification of assets within company systems.
    •  
  • Identify treatment of all asset types within required capital calculation, particularly for specific investment types, leveraging previous experience.
    •  
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide pro-forma and sensitivity analysis on newly-proposed structures, conducting relevant research.
    •  
  • Propose transactions to optimize RBC and engage in industry activities for staying updated on RBC developments.
    •  
  • Maintain comprehensive process documentation for risk-based capital calculation and statutory compliance.
    •  
  • Create necessary statutory compliance schedules and demonstrate understanding of statutory guidelines for respective jurisdictions.
    •  
  • Manage NAIC ratings, ensuring SVO ratings accuracy and staying informed on updates affecting capital position.
    •  
  • Develop reports based on stakeholder feedback and participate in initiatives to improve investment workflows and reporting accuracy.

Salary Disclaimer:
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $185,000. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
