Job Description
Constellation Search Group is seeking an A/R Supervisor for a full-time direct hire position. This role is integral to the financial operations within a Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) environment. The A/R Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of billing areas, contribute to billing system adjustments, and handle month-end reporting related to A/R balances. The ideal candidate will have healthcare industry experience and excel in a mission-driven, fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Audit monthly Accounts Receivable agings, meet with billers to monitor and analyze collectability, and make recommendations regarding account balances to write-off.
- Prepare and update all A/R and census-related schedules monthly and for the fiscal year-end audit.
- Mentor a team of billing/revenue cycle staff.
- Assist the A/R Manager in analyzing and determining the impact of changes in payment methodology and ensure the electronic billing system reflects current reimbursement programs.
- Evaluate current contracts related to reimbursement, ensuring they are beneficial and align with services provided, while providing appropriate reimbursement to the company.
- Assist in the establishment and negotiation of new payer contracts.
- Ensure billing policies and procedures are documented, followed, and improve efficiency and controls where appropriate.
- Input all charges/credits accurately and timely into a computerized billing system for Health Center and Assisted Living residents.
- Manage electronic billing for Medicare Part A & B and Medicaid, staying updated on regulatory changes impacting billing.
- Handle billing of benefit exhaust and No Pay claims per Medicare and Managed Care guidelines.
- Conduct aging follow-up and collections, including correcting and resubmitting Medicare, private insurance, and Medicaid rejections timely.
- Communicate with other departments to expedite the flow of charge data for billing input.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive billing/AR experience.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with billing software (e.g., HHA Exchange) and Excel.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
