Job Description
Constellation Search Group is seeking an Accounting Manager for a full-time direct hire position. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in accurately and consistently completing the accounting functions for the assigned project. This position is located on the jobsite in Green Bay, WI, and involves overseeing the accounting department while serving as a vital team member within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department, supervising 2 Accountants, 1 Payroll Specialist, and 1 Accounts Payable Specialist.
- Act as an individual contributor for month-end close, ensuring timely completion within a 7-day cycle.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Identify, lead, and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems, particularly within the first six months.
- Assist the CFO with financial analysis, budgeting, and special projects.
- Oversee annual audit processes and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting team members.
- Support the transition of the department toward enhanced FP&A capabilities.
- Utilize ERP accounting software and advanced Excel functions, including complex formulas and macros, for financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- At least 4 years of prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Expert knowledge of general accounting principles and GAAP.
- Proficiency with accounting systems (SAGE experience preferred) and Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
- Ability to safely perform all job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
