MEP Engineer, PE

Job Description

Constellation Search Group is looking for an MEP Engineer for a full-time direct hire position. The MEP Engineer will manage and oversee engineering projects of various sizes and complexity. Their role includes concept design and the preparation of relevant calculations and schematics. The incumbent will ensure professional quality services throughout project lifecycle and provide mentorship to project team members. 
Responsibilities:
     
  • Manage and oversee electrical engineering projects for residential and commercial settings.
    •  
  • Prepare concept design, load calculations, schematics, select equipment, and compile system concept reports.
    •  
  • Design electrical systems including distribution, switching, UPS, safety, and control systems.
    •  
  • Write construction specifications and analyze design proposals for cost-effective solutions.
    •  
  • Ensure technical accuracy and oversee quality and cost control during the design and construction process.
    •  
  • Manage and mentor a project team to meet or exceed client expectations.
    •  
  • Maintain project schedules, track work progress, budget, and resource utilization.
    •  
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver project outcomes and review specifications.
    •  
  • Oversee ICAT services design including communication, AV systems, and security systems.
    •  
  • Conduct site visits and assist with drawing reviews as required.
    •  
  • Adjust to changing project needs and work overtime when necessary.
Qualifications:
     
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Electrical or relevant engineering discipline preferred.
    •  
  • Professional Engineer (P.E) registration.
    •  
  • 5  years of industry-related experience with a consulting engineering background.
    •  
  • Strong understanding of engineering contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
    •  
  • Experience in project management methods with successful delivery track record.
    •  
  • Effective interpersonal, team building, negotiation, and leadership skills.
    •  
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical personnel.
    •  
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented.
